Antenna
Choir recording on a cold war antenna dome, Berlin - Teufelsberg (the Devil´s Moutain).
This project uses the profoundly evocative mental landscape emanating from this site as a trigger for a musical/coral composition, were the relation of sound with its immediate phantom, the acoustics of the space, are the core element.
On the antenna crypt/axis/cave/totem a cosmological strategy will be set in the sense of creating a symbolic narrative for the unfolding of the sonic movements, contours and a dynamic direction through time & space, using formal elements of silence, texture and ecstatic sound in a ritualization of this dome spherical space.
****
Orientated by Jonathan Uliel Saldanha it combines a specific work with voices and informal coral ensembles, with an interest on the highly evocative proprieties of collective chanting, materializing the physical evocation of time.
